In accordance with the Rules of Unite it is necessary to elect members of the Unite Executive Council which will hold office until 30th April 2026.
In accordance with the Trade Union and Labour Relations (Consolidation) Act 1992 Civica Election Services has been appointed to act as Independent Scrutineer for this ballot. Any prospective candidate must be an accountable representative of workers in accordance with Rule 6 and a member of the constituency they wish to represent.
Under the ballot rules our branch is required to hold a meeting during the nomination period Monday 2 January – Friday 3 February 2023 in order to determine our nomination for the Women’s, BAEM, LGBT+, Disabled Members, Youth, London & Eastern and GPM&IT Sector seats on the Executive Council.
This meeting will take place on Thursday 12 January at 6.30pm on Zoom. Branch members should have received an email with a link to register for this meeting. If you have not received it please contact the branch secretary.
